  1. I wouldn’t worry about not having a trail name. I have one from my time on the AT, but the reality always was that in face to face communication with others on the trail, I found that most people used a parson’s real name. My trail name is Hightops, as a play on my last name which is Converse. You know, Converse all star sneakers?

    In fact, now when I section hike on the AT, and people ask what my trail name is, I always reply, Don, which is my name.

  2. Even with the trama of no trail name, she was thoughtful enough to with her sister Happy Birthday. I agree with Don, train names over rated and “girl with her dad” would always be a memory of this 6 months together,
